Jon Davis, a fire prevention specialist with the Lebanon Fire District, joins Steve Wohlers for the KFIR Community Forum this Sunday, December 14th. Jon and Steve will discuss Lebanon’s newly opened fire house and fire safety for the winter. With the coldest weather of the year expected this weekend, be sure to listen in for Jon’s advice.

Sun City Carnival: Kenny Chesney’s 2009 Concert Series

Who’s excited to see Kenny Chesney on tour again? Chesney has just announced that his 2009 tour is to be titled the Sun City Carnival. Stops along the way include the Gillette Stadium near Boston on August 15th and, closer to home, an April 26th apperance at the Stagecoach Festival in Indio, California.

New Year’s Rockin’ Eve: Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler

Two of Country’s top stars, Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler, will be a part of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve this year. Taylor Swift will perform on stage alongside The Jonas Brothers, Jesse McCartney and many more. Meanwhile, Kellie Pickler is set to provide live reports from Times Square.

Jake Owen Announces His Second Album To Be Released In February

Jake Owen’s single—”Don’t Think I Can’t Love You”—is currently rising through the charts. The song is now known to be the first single off his second album, Easy Does It. The album’s release date has been set for February 24th of 2009.

Local Child’s Life Saved By Neighbor

Lebanon mother Stefanie Stanley was giving her five month old baby Brayden Breshears a bath when she briefly left the bathroom to get a towel. Moments later she returned to find Brayden face down in the bathwater. Stefanie rushed her son to her neighbor, Karie Truelove, who saved Brayden’s life by quickly administering CPR.

Keith Urban Set For New Tour Next May

Starting early next year you’ll be able to get your tickets for Keith Urban’s 2009 tour. The first performance is scheduled for May and should extend through the summer, but details have yet to be released. Performers joining Urban on stage are set to include Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Dierks Bentley, Glen Campbell, Lady Antebellum, and The Zac Brown Band.

This Sunday our Community Forum guest is Sweet Home Schools’ Superintendent Larry Horton. Join Larry as he discusses budget cuts for the rest of the 2008-2009 school year and what impacts these cuts will have.

Taylor Swift Hits the Top of Two Billboard Charts

With Taylor Swift’s recent album release, Fearless, she has managed to hit the top of both the Billboard Top 200 and Country charts. She also managed to set a record for the most digital download sales of a country album.

Danzig Bassist Files Lawsuit Against John Rich

Jerry Montano, formerly the bassist for Danzig, has filed a lawsuit against John Rich for the altercation which took place between them on October 17th. During the scuffle, Montano claims that Rich left him with “severe injuries” and “permanent scarring”. The whole thing appears to have started over a woman Rich was interested in.

Kenny Chesney Intends to Keep the Hits Coming

Kenny Chesney just won his fourth CMA Entertainer of the Year trophy Wednesday evening. How did he celebrate? He issued a friendly “challenge” to his fellow nominees, notifying them that he intends to keep giving his fans hit songs.

“But to those other four acts that are nominated, I’m not just going to lay down, either. I love what I’m doing, and I love doing it from the heart with the passion, commitment and sacrifice that it takes to do this. These aren’t given away. These aren’t free. It’s a very humbling thing to stand up here and hold this for the fourth time.”

Toby Keith’s Second Film Now Available on DVD

Toby Keith has released his second film, Beer For My Horses, on DVD. Kieth stars alongside comedian Rodney Carrington,Claire Forlani of CSI: New York and musicians Willie Nelson and Ted Nugent. The story involves Keith and Carrington as small town deputies who get involved in a crazy scheme to rescue Keith’s character’s girlfriend from a drug lord.
