  American Veterans are sick over the news about major sections of Iraq falling to Al Qaeda. This on the heels of the ongoing VA Hospital scandal has really brought into focus the clear lack of leadership coming out of the White
  House. I remember the supposed Weapons of Mass destruction story which was sold to the American people to support the invasion of Iraq. The weapons never materialized….. Now the American people feel sick to their core about the lost lives of our troops, who apparently fought and died for nothing as Iraq falls into terrorist control. Let us all stop and remember this when the administration celebrates another per-mature victory in Afghanistan and pulls out our remaining forces. Will Afghanistan fall back under the reign of terrorism? Only time will tell.

  Sweet Home is hosting the Hero Half Marathon this Memorial Day weekend. The Hero Half Marathon is a great event which supports three different charitable organizations. Proceeds from the event will go to Operation Home front, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Keaton Coffey Memorial Scholarship fund.

  I had the great privilege to interview Grant Coffey, father of Keaton Coffey to talk about the event, his son, and the memorial fund in his honor. Listen to the interview

  Come to Sweet Home and celebrate Memorial Day at the Community Chapel located at 42250 Ames Creek Road, from 8AM-1PM. Bring the whole family, there are lots of activities besides the marathon, including a silent auction for some great trips and much more.
