This is why if a promise is not put in writing it does not truly exist, especially when you are dealing with any government. These individuals where raised in a day and age where trusting the government was implied. That in no way the government was not looking out for your best interests. Well let this be a lesson to all of you about the true nature of bureaucracy. Bureaucracy has no face and absolutely no heart. Keep this in mind when you are trying to navigate the minefield of life in the U.S. these days. The only individual that has your best interests at heart a 100% of the time is you. Take responsibility for your life, question reality, and do your own research!
BTW: New Gallop poll has the congresses approval rating at 7%. To put this into perspective King George had a better approval rating leading up to the revolutionary war!
