Computer In A… Vase?

ECS is well known among geeks for their motherboards and other hardware that goes inside a computer. Generally, they’re not well known for complete systems. But at this year’s Computex they unveiled a new desktop livingroom form factor—a computer in a vase!

And it is quite the capable little machine, too. It sports an Intel Atom 230 processor and nVidia’s ION platform which makes it capable of playing fairly graphics intensive games as well as being able to handle HD video playback. Even sports HDMI output and a Blu-ray drive so it is set to be the perfect pairing for your livingroom’s HDTV. I was studying something else about this on another blog. Interesting. Your perspective on it is diametrically opposed to what I read in the first place. I am still pondering over the different points of view, but I’m tipped heavily toward yours. And no matter, that’s what is so great about advanced democracy and the marketplace of ideas online.

Great article. There’s a lot of good data here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the latest beta of Firefox, and the design of your blog is kind of bizarre for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn’t work so good.
