Robin galloway from the Linn County Extension will talk about the upcoming Extension Open House next weekend, the tax issue on the November ballot and the potential danger of the plant “Nightshade” which grows wild in Oregon.

Jill Keto, a northwest-based author and artist, joins Steve Wohlers to discuss the current state of the economy. Keto and her Harvard-educated economist husband have written Don’t Get Caught With Your Skirt Down a book about the current rocky economic times and what you can do to protect yourself.

Rick Alexander, a Lebanon school board member who is the subject of a recall vote on October 7th with fellow board member Josh Wineteer, joins Steve Wohlers to discuss his side of the recall debate.

J.D. McMahan, the executive director of Insight Schools of Oregon, joins Steve Wohlers to discuss the alternative that Insight offers to traditional brick and mortar high schools. Insight Schools of Oregon provides an Internet based path to obtaining a high school diploma and has recently been approved in Lebanon.

John “Tre” Kennedy, the chair of “C.A.R.E.S.”, joins Steve Wohlers on this week’s Community Forum. John will discuss the attempt at recalling Lebanon School Board members Rick Alexander & Josh Wineteer.

Bob Bowers, an Oregon native, has lived with HIV for 25 years. He now heads the group “HIVictorious” in Madison, Wisconson and speaks to young people about lifestyle choices.

Guest speaker Rodney Hightower joins Steve Wohlers to talk about the grass seed industry of Oregon. Topics to be covered include this year’s harvest and an ever controversial topic–field burning.
